Angels Elite
Below is an advertisement.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim's Elite Baseball Program was developed in 2002 after ten years of Sunday Scout Baseball. It involves some of the top 30 incoming high school seniors in Southern California. The team is chosen based on the results of various baseball showcases from the previous summer as well as the outcome of the annual Angel Elite Series Showcase held in July of each year at Anaheim Stadium.

The philosophy of the program is to provide a vehicle for the Angels scouting staff to properly analyze the talent, ability, and character of the top Southern California senior prospects. In the past six years of the Angels Elite players roster there have been 122 players drafted into Major League Baseball, 19 by the Angels the most of Major League Baseball Teams.

The Elite Team plays a ten game schedule in the fall on Wednesday nights versus some of the areas best Junior College programs. It is sponsored by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and organized and run by the Angel's Southern California regional scouting staff. On the field staff members are Tim Corcoran, Bobby DeJardin, Bo Hughes, Steve Hernandez, Rob Wilfong, Kurt Stange, Jeff Kagle and Ken Kapono
