Join the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation for its inaugural Cook-Off for Cancer which will feature upscale versions of ballpark food prepared by notable Chicago chefs and served by Chicago Cubs players. Guests will vote for their favorite Chefs and dishes by tipping their Cubs server. Ultimately, all tips and event proceeds will benefit pediatric cancer research, care and support, a cause close to home for Anthony Rizzo and his family. The event will take place from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at Cafe Brauer and will attract guests from all over the city and suburbs, including local celebrities, business leaders, philanthropists and more.
The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization founded by Chicago Cubs First Baseman, Anthony Rizzo. Anthony realized during his own battle with cancer that no matter how difficult fighting cancer was to him, it was even more difficult for his family. Anthony believes that an individual does not battle cancer, but that the whole family does. The mission of the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation is to raise money for cancer research and to provide support to children and their families battling the disease. Every family deserves a fighting chance. This year, the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation will donate proceeds from Cook-Off for Cancer to Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation's Bear Hugs Program, Family Reach Foundation and Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
