Angels at the plate: Vladimir Guerrero's RBI double ignited a five-run first inning. Chone Figgins and Gary Matthews Jr. each stroked two hits.

Giants at the plate: Aaron Rowand singled in the seventh inning and is hitting .353 (6-for-17) in his last five games. Rich Aurilia's run-scoring groundout and Nate Schierholtz's RBI single fueled a two-run seventh inning.

Angels on the mound: Jered Weaver looked ready for the regular season while allowing two hits in five innings. Closer Francisco Rodriguez tuned up by striking out a batter in a perfect sixth inning.

Giants on the mound: Matt Cain rebounded from the Angels' big first to pitch six innings, most by a San Francisco starter this spring. Tyler Walker worked the eighth and is unscored upon in six of seven appearances.

Cactus League records: Angels 11-7-2; Giants 6-13-2

Angels up next: Los Angeles will enjoy its lone scheduled off-day of the spring Monday, although Jon Garland is due to stay on his throwing schedule by working in a Minor League game. The Angels return to action Tuesday against Milwaukee, with left-hander Joe Saunders slated to start and right-hander Dustin Moseley expected to throw 60 pitches.

Giants up next: The Giants travel to Tucson to face the Colorado Rockies, who defeated them 10-2 in their only other Cactus League meeting March 9. Triple-A Fresno right-hander Matt Palmer will start for the Giants and replace Tim Lincecum, who will get his work in by pitching an expected five innings in a Minor League game. Aaron Cook is Colorado's scheduled starter.
