ANAHEIM, CA – The Angels today acquired RHP Barry Enright from the Arizona Diamondbacks
organization in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Enright will be
assigned to triple-A Salt Lake. Today’s announcement was made by General Manager Jerry Dipoto.
Enright, 26, has spent the 2012 campaign with the triple-A Reno Aces of the Pacific Coast
League. In 21 starts, he is 8-6 with one complete game and a 5.87 ERA (110.1 IP – 72 ER). In 2011, the 6’3” 220-pound Enright appeared with the Aces as well as with the Diamondbacks. He made seven starts with Arizona (1-4, 7.41 ERA) and appeared in 21 games (21 starts) with Reno (9-5, 5.21 ERA).
The Stockton, CA native was selected by Arizona in the second round of the 2007 MLB amateur
draft. He pitched collegiately at Pepperdine University, winning 35 games in three seasons (2005-07), and graduated from St. Mary’s High School (Stockton).
