  • Astros announce Minor League Players of the Month for August

    The Houston Astros Player Development Department has named August's Minor League Pitchers and Players of the Month at each of their minor league affiliates. These awards are chosen every month by the field staff of each team.

  • First-Place Astros Continue Hunt for Division Title in Upcoming Homestand

    The Astros enter the final month of the regular season during the upcoming homestand as they host the Seattle Mariners (Aug. 31-Sept. 2) and the Minnesota Twins (Sept. 4-6). The series against the Seattle Mariners kicks off a month featuring 24 divisional matchups in a tight AL West title race. The Astros have been spectacular at home this season, especially of late. During the last homestand, Houston went 7-3 with four walk-off wins, a no-hitter by RHP Mike Fiers and a sweep of Zack Grienke, Clayton Kershaw and the NL West-leading Dodgers. The Astros are now 45-21 at home, which is the best home record in the AL.

  • Linares named Double A Texas League Manager of the Year

    The Double A Texas League announced today that Corpus Christi Hooks manager Rodney Linares has been named the Texas League Manager of the Year.

  • Fiers Named American League Player of the Week

    Major League Baseball announced this afternoon that Houston Astros right-handed pitcher Mike Fiers has been named the American League Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 17-23. This marks Fiers' first career Player of the Week award.

  • Astros To Honor Biggio Tonight

    The Astros will honor Hall of Famer Craig Biggio with a special pregame ceremony prior to tonight's 6:10 p.m. game vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers at Minute Maid Park. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5:25 p.m.

  • Astros RBI teams make Houston proud at 2015 MLB RBI World Series

    All three of the Houston Astros RBI baseball and softball teams advanced to the 2015 MLB RBI World Series this year, marking the most-ever for any city in RBI World Series history.

Houston has a team in each division in the 2015 RBI World Series, the most-ever for any city in RBI World Series history.
