  • Labor Day visit by Jackie Robinson West All-Stars starts 2000s-themed homestand

    Chicago's Jackie Robinson West All-Stars, who claimed the U.S. Little League title and played in the Little League World Series against South Korea, will join the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on Labor Day as the team kicks off a six-game homestand vs. division rivals Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates.

  • Cubs recall Soler and Watkins from Triple-A

    The Chicago Cubs today recalled outfielder Jorge Soler and infielder Logan Watkins from Triple-A Iowa. Outfielder Justin Ruggiano has been placed on the 15-day disabled list (retro to August 23) with left ankle inflammation and outfielder Ryan Sweeney has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain.

    The Chicago Cubs today reinstated infielder Starlin Castro from the bereavement list. Infielder Logan Watkins was optioned to Triple-A Iowa.

    The Chicago Cubs today recalled right-handed pitcher Blake Parker from Triple-A Iowa. Parker will serve as the club's 26th man for their game tonight against the San Francisco Giants at Wrigley Field.

    The Chicago Cubs today placed shortstop Starlin Castro on the bereavement list and placed right-handed pitcher Edwin Jackson on the 15-day D.L. with a right lat strain. Infielder Logan Watkins and left-handed pitcher Zac Rosscup have been recalled from Triple-A Iowa.

  • Cubs, Giants to resume Tuesday's game Thursday at 4:05 p.m.

    As announced today by Major League Baseball, the Tuesday, August 19 game against the San Francisco Giants is scheduled to resume tomorrow at Wrigley Field. The game will resume at 4:05 p.m. CT with the Cubs batting in the bottom of the 5th inning.

    The Chicago Cubs will host a six-game homestand vs. the San Francisco Giants and Baltimore Orioles August 19-24 while honoring the 1990s decade at Wrigley Field, which saw important moments like Kerry Wood's 20-strikeout game and the unveiling of Harry Caray's statue at the ballpark.
