    The Minnesota Twins announced today the signing of right-handed pitcher Kohl Stewart from St. Pius X (Houston, Texas) High School, whom they selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2013 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

  • Twins reinstate Plouffe

    The Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they have returned Trevor Plouffe from his rehab assignment at Triple-A Rochester and reinstated him from the 15-day disabled list (strained left calf). Plouffe appeared in four games with the Red Wings hitting .333 (5-for-15) with one home run and three RBI.

In all, the Twins drafted 24 pitchers, including 17 collegiate arms, and 16 position players in the three days of the draft. Of the 16 position players, four are catchers, five are infielders and seven are outfielders.
