The four Global Sponsors for the 2017 tournament include GungHo, the video game corporation that developed mobile hit Puzzles & Dragons; Hublot, the Swiss luxury watchmaker; Nippon Express, Japan's largest logistics provider; and Nomura Securities, a leading financial services group. Global Sponsors receive the highest level of association with the event, including significant presence in the six tournament venues and across all media platforms worldwide. Delta Air Lines will support the unique travel demands of the tournament as the preferred carrier of the World Baseball Classic.
Major League Baseball announced today that four umpires - Adam Hamari, Pat Hoberg, Gabe Morales and Carlos Torres - have been named to the full-time Major League Umpiring staff.
Major League Baseball announced that fans are now able to purchase tickets for All-Star FanFest and All-Star Sunday, including the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game. For 48 hours following the launch of tickets going on sale, a "Flash" discount featuring a $10.00 FanFest ticket good for any time slot will be offered. The promo code for this discount, which is valid online only, is FFAS. Tickets for All-Star FanFest and All-Star Sunday can be purchased at the official website of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game presented by Mastercard (allstargame.com), the Marlins official website (marlins.com), the Marlins Advance Ticket Windows at Marlins Park beginning in May, and by calling 1-888-FanFest.
