Angels add three players to 40-man roster
tickets for any Major League Baseball game

ANAHEIM -- The Angels Tuesday announced the addition of right-handed pitchers Nick Green and Warner Madrigal and infielder Sean Rodriguez to the 40-man roster. The announcement was made by club General Manager Tony Reagins.

Green, 23, spent the 2007 season at double-A Arkansas. He registered a 10-8 record with two complete games and a 3.68 ERA (178.1 IP - 73 ER) in 28 starts. Green allowed 164 hits (17 HR), walked 32 and struck out 107 in that span. He led the Travelers in wins (tied), starts, innings pitched and home runs. Green was named Texas League Player of the Week twice (April 23-29 & Aug. 13-19) and was a participant in the league's All-Star Game. He also made one appearance for triple-A Salt Lake during the 2007 playoffs.

A native of East Point, GA, Green was selected by the Angels in 35th round of the 2004 free agent draft.

Madrigal, 23, spent the 2007 season at single-A Cedar Rapids. He posted a 5-4 record with 20 saves (22 chances) and a 2.07 ERA (61 IP - 14 ER) in 54 relief appearances. Madrigal surrendered 44 hits (3 HR), walked 23 and struck out 75 in that span. He led the Kernels in ERA by a reliever and saves.

A native of San Pedro de Macoris, DR, Madrigal was originally signed by the Angels as free agent, July 21, 2001.

Rodriguez, 22, spent the 2007 season at Arkansas. He batted .254 (129-for-508) with 84 runs scored, 31 doubles, two triples, 17 home runs and 73 RBI in 136 games. Rodriguez led the Travelers in games, at-bats, hits, home runs, RBI and strikeouts (132). He played 125 games at shortstop and made five appearances in the outfield. Rodriguez participated in the Texas League All-Star Game.

A native of Miami, FL, Rodriguez was selected by the Angels in the third round of the 2003 free agent draft.

These additions place the Angels 40-man roster at 39 players.
