Giants' young starters eye improvement
A pair of 23-year-olds are already Giants centerpieces

Matt Cain, still just 23, is confident he can reach a new level now that he has a couple of years of big league experience.
A hard-throwing right-hander with front-of-the-rotation stuff, Cain considered the possibility of someday throwing a no-hitter in the latest Players Talk show.
"Well that'd be cool. Everybody looks at what Nolan Ryan did, his seven no-hitters and just to have one would be amazing. It seems they're so scarce lately. I'd love to do it. It's not something I try to do when I go out there every time but to have that situation -- I hope I'm prepared for it and I can control the situation if it gets deep into the game," Cain told MLBPLAYERS.com.
Cain reached 200 innings for the first time in 2007, posting a 7-16 record with a 3.65 ERA for the Giants.
The Giants other 23-year-old starter, Tim Lincecum, meanwhile is preparing for his second big-league season.
Lincecum, the 10th overall draft pick in 2006, posted a 7-5 record with 4.00 ERA and 150 strikeouts in 24 games as he got his first experience with San Francisco.
"It's like a dream come true to be here," Lincecum told MLBPLAYERS.com. "Just to be living my dream and it being my job at the same time. It's still a game, and I love it, but getting that privilege to be able to go out there and throw in a Giants uniform and throw against these Major League hitters is surreal."
