Players Trust unites with the Volunteers of America of the Ohio River Valley to provide children with once-in-a-lifetime experience

CINCINNATI -- Prior to tonight’s game, Cincinnati Reds players Adam Dunn, Alex Gonzalez, Ken Griffey, Jr., Aaron Harang, Scott Hatteberg, Kyle Lohse, Brandon Phillips, David Ross, Javier Valentin, and David Weathers will provide everlasting memories to a group of local children as the Major League Baseball Players Trust’s “Buses for Baseball” program motors into the Queen City.

Courtesy of the players’ charitable foundation and Volunteers of America – Ohio River Valley, the children will receive round-trip transportation to the game, meet the players, and receive free tickets, food, beverages and souvenirs.

“Buses for Baseball”, a program administered by the Players Trust and underwritten by Majestic Athletic, a division of VF Imagewear, Inc., provides transportation and personal greetings for underprivileged children attending Major League Baseball games as invited guests of their big league heroes.

The Players Trust enjoys support from Volunteers of America, Laidlaw, and the Reds organization in providing this unique, up close and personal opportunity to share the thrill of Major League Baseball with those less fortunate. “Buses for Baseball” provides many children with their first chance to attend a Major League Baseball game.
