The entire Seattle Mariners organization takes the role of community leadership very seriously. The ballclub is in a unique position to connect the team with worthwhile endeavors, community partners and fundraising activities that make significant contributions to the Pacific Northwest. It is the goal and responsibility of the organization to be a community leader. During the 2016 Mariners season, Mariners Care, the team's non-profit foundation, helped raise over 1 million dollars for various charities and community projects.
The Mariner Moose DREAM Team School Assembly Program continues to visit elementary schools in the Pacific Northwest throughout the 2017-2018 school year. The program uses the Mariner Moose to deliver the importance of the DREAM Team principles: staying Drug-free, Respect for yourself and others, Education through reading, Attitude, and Motivation. The Mariners held their 19th Annual Mariners Education Day on May 24, 2016. Mariners players, broadcasters, and staff traveled to four local elementary schools to deliver the Mariners' DREAM Team program. The event enabled the team to deliver a positive message to over 2,000 students.
During the 2017 season, Mariners Care will partner with the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence to support the "Refuse To Abuse" campaign, which seeks to raise awareness and support victims of domestic violence.
Felix Hernandez and the Mariners partnered with Grammy Award winning artist Macklemore to help #ChangeTheGame and put an end to bullying. For more information on how you can #ChangeTheGame and check out the television psa click here.
Mariners Care and PACCAR will host a book drive at Safeco Field in August to benefit the Page Ahead Children's Literacy Program. Fans are encouraged to bring new books or make a cash donation at the gates. All funds collected help purchase new books for children in need in our community.

The Mariners, once again, have joined together with Major League Baseball and the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County in 2017 to support the 24th season of the Seattle R.B.I. League. R.B.I. offers inner-city boys and girls, ages 5-18, the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of baseball and softball by providing them with a safe, organized athletic program. On June 4, 2017, Mariners fans are encouraged to bring new and/or gently used baseball and softball equipment to Safeco Field to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County who administer Seattle's Reviving Baseball in the Inner Cities League. The event raised over $13,000 in equipment for Seattle youth in 2016.
Pitch, Hit and Run is Major League Baseball's national skills program for boys baseball and girls softball, ages 7-14, that gives kids the opportunity to showcase their pitching, hitting and base running abilities. Youngsters may advance through four levels of competition, beginning each year with local competitions in April and May and concluding with the national Finals in July at the MLB All-Star Game. The Mariners and Holland America Line will team up in 2017 to bring the Mariners Get Well Tour to hospitals in the Northwest. Mariners players and the Mariner Moose will visit kids and adults at local children's hospitals and VA hospitals.

In 2017, the Mariners will host the tenth annual PLAY Campaign event at Safeco Field for kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County. PLAY - which stands for Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth - is a public awareness campaign developed by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS) to combat child obesity. Mariners Athletic Trainers Rick Griffin and Rob Nodine will join Mariners players to encourage youth to be active, eat right, and sustain a healthy lifestyle.
Every fan donation to the Wishing Well at Safeco Field during the 2017 season benefits Pacific Northwest patients and families at Seattle Children's.
On June 26, 2017, the Seattle Mariners host the 32nd annual Cystic Fibrosis Mariners Care Golf Tournament at Broadmoor Golf Club to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis, a fatal disease afflicting children and young adults. The event, held annually since 1986, has raised over $5.7 million for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The Seattle Mariners and 97.3 KIRO FM are proud sponsors of Fight Hunger Night on June 24, 2017. Prior to the game, fans are asked to donate non-perishable food items to benefit Northwest Harvest. 500 lbs. of food, along with $4,500 was collected in 2016. This provided approximately 19,000 meals to families.

For every save made by a Mariners Pitcher at Safeco Field, BECU will donate $1,000 to Junior Achievement of Washington. The 2016 donation was $23,000.
Premera Blue Cross and the Mariners are partnering on "Steals for the Cure" this season. For each Mariners steal, Premera will donate $250 to Susan G. Komen, with a commitment up to $30,000 towards a cure.
For every double the Mariners hit at Safeco Field, Hempler's will donate $50 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The 2016 donation was $5,650.
For every home run hit by a Mariners player, Alaska Airlines will donate 10,000 airline miles to the United Negro College Fund-Seattle Chapter to help a worthy student succeed in education. "A mind is a terrible thing to waste...but a WONDERFUL thing to invest in!"
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center partnered with Mariners Care to bring the Hits for the Hutch program. In 2017, Mariners Care will make a mutually agreeable charitable donation to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center for each hit recorded by a Mariners player during Mariners home games.
For every Mariners run batted in, PACCAR will make a donation to Page Ahead. Page Ahead's mission is to provide new books and develop reading activities that empower at-risk children. In 2016, PACCAR donated $75,000 to Page Ahead.
For every strike out recorded by a Mariners pitcher at Safeco Field, Holland America Line will make a donation to the Seattle Children's Uncompensated Care Fund with a commitment of $25,000 for the 2017 season.

Jack in the Box is a Proud Supporter of our community. As part of our Seattle Mariners sponsorship, we conducted a fundraiser for Seattle Children's Hospital. Limited edition window decals were sold for $1 at any Western WA Jack location and ALL proceeds went to the Children's Hospital. Thank you for showing your support of Seattle Children's and the Seattle Mariners! In 2016, the program raised $60,000.
Since 2000, the Mariners have hosted Silent Auctions at each Saturday home game to benefit Mariners Care. Fans have the opportunity to bid on select memorabilia including autographed baseballs, game-used bats, autographed jerseys worn in the Mariners TV commercials, and several other unique items. The Silent Auctions, held at Section 128 at Safeco Field, begin when the gates open and conclude at the end of the sixth inning. In 2016, the Mariners Care Silent Auctions raised $100,000, raising the fifteen-year total to $1.47 million.
ROOT SPORTS and the Seattle Mariners will team up to host the seventh annual on-line tele-auction during a 2017 telecast to raise funds for Mariners Care. In 2016, the event raised over $45,000.
Mariner fans have the opportunity to test their arms against the Major Leaguers with an official radar gun at the Mariners Care Speed Pitch machine located on the main concourse in center field. Proceeds from the Mariners Care Speed Pitch machine benefit Mariners Care. $45,000 was raised in 2016.
On August 11, 2017, the Mariners Wives will showcase and auction off their husband's "Favorite Things" to benefit Mariners Care. The auction raised a total of $17,800 in 2016.
On July 28, 2017, the Wives of Mariners players, along with volunteers from Mariners Care, will sell mystery bags containing a baseball signed by one of the 2017 Mariners. In 2016, thanks to all participating fans, $17,500 was raised for Mariners Care, the Seattle Mariners non-profit foundation.
Mariners Care will reach thousands of organizations in the Pacific Northwest through donations of memorabilia and autographed items.

All donation requests must be submitted in writing, on organizational letterhead and postmarked 6 weeks prior to the event. We do not accept faxed or emailed requests. Letters must include the following information:
a. Date of your event
b. A copy of the non-profit organization's 501c 3 form
c. A brief explanation of the event and how proceeds will be used
d. Contact name, phone number, complete mailing address and valid email address (Incomplete requests will not be considered)

The sixth annual Goodwill Refuse To Abuse 5k Run/Walk at Safeco Field will be held on July 15, 2017. In 2016, the event raised $155,000 for the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Refuse To Abuse campaign. For registration information, click the following link.
On May 13, 2017, the Mariners and United Way will hold a celebrity softball game at Safeco Field to benefit homeless youth in King County. Mariners Hall of Famers Dan Wilson and Jay Buhner will serve as team captains. For more information, please visit uwkc.org/softball.
Through Mariners Care, Major League Baseball, and the MLB Players Association, the Commissioner's Community Initiative and MLB & Players Give Back programs provide the opportunity for thousands of children and seniors to attend Seattle Mariners home games through ticket donations to non-profit organizations. If you would like to bring your non-profit organization to attend a game at Safeco Field, please submit a formal letter of request on letterhead that includes the approximate size of the group and, if needed, the number of ADA accessible seats required for your group along with your contact information. The 2017 Seattle Mariners Caravan hit the road Jan. 9-27, visiting communities across the Pacific Northwest to increase excitement for the upcoming season. On the tour, select members of the Seattle Mariners visited elementary schools and Boys & Girls Clubs to deliver the D.R.E.A.M Team message and host complimentary autograph and photo sessions for the public. On Jan. 28 and 29, the Mariners welcomed fans from all over the Northwest to Safeco Field for their first glimpse of the 2017 Seattle Mariners team at the 18th annual Mariners FanFest. Fans had the chance to get autographs and interact with players and coaches, new and old, and get autographs from Jarrod Dyson, Drew Smyly, Danny Valencia, Mitch Haniger, and manager Scott Servais, as well as many other players and coaches.
